Reliant Credit Union Promotes Team Members

SODUS, N.Y., January 10, 2022—Reliant Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of three members of the organization’s member services and administration teams. Reliant strives to offer interesting and rewarding work for all employees, and takes pride in helping to foster employee growth and development.

Monica Fernaays has been promoted to the role of Executive Services Manager. In her new role, Ms. Fernaays will provide administrative support to the President & CEO by researching, planning, and coordinating various activities in support of the President & CEO, the Board of Directors, and various credit union volunteers.

Ms. Fernaays joined Reliant in 2015 as the Human Resources Assistant, and most recently served as the Recruiting Specialist. She has an associate’s degree in administrative assistance from Finger Lakes Community College and has obtained an associate professional in human resources certificate. Ms. Fernaays is the current president of the Williamson Booster Club, and previously served on the Williamson Central School District Board of Education. She resides in Williamson with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and attending her children’s sporting events to cheer them on.

“I love the culture at Reliant; it’s one of the most inviting places I’ve worked or have been a part of,” said Ms. Fernaays. “I look forward to gaining an even stronger understanding of collaboration and leadership and continuing to serve the Reliant team and its members.”

Kelly Farrell and Alicia Figueroa have each been promoted to the role of Branch Manager, at Reliant’s Webster and Geneva branches, respectively. In her new role, each will oversee the growth and development of member relationships within the branch community, while managing branch operations, staff development, and interactions with local businesses and community organizations.

Kelly Farrell joined the credit union in 2018 and has held the roles of Teller Supervisor and Assistant Manager for the Newark branch. She lives in Ontario with her fiancé and enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities and gardening in her spare time.

Ms. Farrell said, “I am looking forward to continuing to deliver a high level of service and establishing long-term relationships in the community. I enjoy every opportunity to help members achieve their financial goals.”

Joining the credit union in 2015, Alicia Figueroa has held the position of Teller Supervisor for the All-Branch team and the Macedon branch. She has an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Finger Lakes Community College and graduated from the United Way Latino Leadership Program in 2021. In her spare time, Ms. Figueroa enjoys traveling, seeing live entertainment, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

I am thankful to have been granted the opportunity to serve and give back to the Geneva community,” said Ms. Figueroa. “I am looking forward to helping members achieve their financial goals and put money back in their pockets.”
