SODUS, N.Y., April 2, 2026—Reliant Credit Union announced a new partnership with My First Nest Egg, a family-first financial education program designed to help children build strong money habits early. The collaboration expands Reliant’s commitment to serving families across Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne counties by providing engaging, age-appropriate tools that make financial learning simple—at home, in classrooms, and throughout the community.

Rooted in the belief that financial confidence begins in childhood, Reliant is introducing a fully branded, co-hosted version of the My First Nest Egg platform for its members. Families will gain access to interactive lessons, printable activities, chore and allowance tools, goal-setting challenges, and classroom-ready resources designed to help children ages 3–13 learn foundational money skills in ways that are practical, consistent, and fun.

“At Reliant, we wanted to implement My First Nest Egg to give our members a simple, meaningful way to start their children’s financial journey early,” said Amy Calabrese, Chief Experience Officer at Reliant Credit Union. “We know families want tools that make it easier to teach saving and build confidence around money, and this program adds value by turning everyday moments into opportunities to learn, grow, and plan for the future. Credit Union Youth Month is the perfect time to celebrate that commitment and encourage young members to begin building strong financial habits.”

As a member-owned, community-focused credit union, Reliant is dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve financial well-being at every stage of life. This partnership reflects that mission by extending financial education beyond traditional services and into everyday conversations—reinforcing positive habits long before a child opens their first account.

Co-founded by two mothers and former attorneys, Nicolle Hood and Annie Shoen, My First Nest Egg was created to address the lack of engaging, age-appropriate financial education resources for young children. The program transforms complex money concepts into bite-sized, psychology-backed learning experiences that help kids build confidence around saving, spending, earning, and giving.

“At My First Nest Egg, we believe financial education works best when it’s accessible, visible, and woven into daily life,” said Nicolle Hood, Co-Founder & CEO of My First Nest Egg. “Reliant’s deep community roots and commitment to empowering families make this partnership a natural fit. Together, we’re giving children the tools to build healthy financial habits that grow with them.”
