SODUS, N.Y., September 8, 2026—Reliant Credit Union announces that its President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Pamela P. Heald, will retire in January 2027 after many years of dedicated leadership.

Throughout her distinguished career at Reliant, Pamela has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s growth, vision, and success through her strategic leadership, collaboration, innovation, and commitment to Reliant’s members, her colleagues, and the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people.’

During Pamela’s time as President and CEO she has helped guide the credit union through many significant milestones, including the name change from WCTA Federal Credit Union to Reliant Credit Union; spearheaded significant system enhancements; and helped expand digital membership services, including the introduction of our mobile banking app.  Under her leadership, Reliant has tripled in size to $800 million in assets with ten branch locations. Likely Pamela’s most significant impact has been on Reliant’s culture: the culture of keeping employees and members top of mind. She’s never wavered from this being the core of who she is as a leader.

A devoted supporter of numerous community organizations in the areas we serve, Pamela has always emphasized the importance of giving back and strengthening our communities. Most recently, Pamela served as the American Heart Association 2025 Go Red for Women Rochester Chairperson. She currently serves on the Wayne County IDA Board of Directors, and the Wayne County Civic Facilities Development Corp. She is a member of the ARC of Wayne Foundation Board, the ARC of Wayne Board of Directors and the Sodus Pride Lions Club, among others.

Pamela has been with the credit union for over 34 years. Before assuming the role of President and CEO in January 2007, she served as Vice President of Lending and Branch Services, having previously held the positions of Vice President of Branch Development, Manager of Branch Development, Branch Manager, and Asset Recovery Supervisor.

In a letter she wrote to staff in January 2007 upon assuming the role of CEO, Pamela shared, “My hope is for all of us to achieve our personal and professional goals… If we can imagine, believe, and expect great things together, great things will happen. I am enthusiastic for the future; a future in which together, we will grow.”

Jane Slack, Chairperson of Reliant’s Board of Directors, said, “On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire organization, we extend our sincere appreciation for Pamela’s invaluable contributions to Reliant Credit Union as well as the communities we serve, and we wish her a happy and healthy retirement.”

Reliant Credit Union’s Board of Directors has engaged an executive search firm to conduct a comprehensive national search to identify Reliant Credit Union’s next President/CEO. The process is already underway, and a selection is anticipated in late 2026. Pamela will continue to serve as President & CEO through the transition, ensuring stability for staff, members, and the community throughout the process.
