SODUS, N.Y., December 2, 2022—Reliant Credit Union is pleased to announce organizational changes to the member services team ahead of the opening of the credit union’s 10th branch, in Farmington in 2023. Reliant strives to offer interesting and rewarding work for all employees, and takes pride in helping to foster employee growth and development.
Tammra Schiller has been hired as the Regional Manager. She previously worked at Reliant as a Branch Manager from 2007 to 2015. She most recently served as a Sales and Service Integration Consultant at Five Star Bank. In her new position, Ms. Schiller will lead the branch experience through hiring, developing, and managing Reliant’s branch managers. She will establish, support, and monitor branch achievement and goals while also leading business development efforts.
Ms. Schiller earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational management and a master’s degree in management at Keuka College. She lives in Canandaigua with her husband and son. In her spare time, she likes watching her son play sports, playing sports herself, such as pickleball and golf, and enjoying time with family and friends.
“I am thrilled to be back at Reliant in a role that will allow my enthusiasm and passion for member service, employee development, and community involvement to shine,” said Ms. Schiller. “I look forward to sharing with all of our communities what Reliant has to offer.”
Jill Blazey has transitioned to the Canandaigua Branch Manager role. In her new role, Ms. Blazey oversees the growth and development of member relationships within the branch community, while managing branch operations, staff development, and interactions with local businesses and community organizations.
Ms. Blazey joined Reliant in 2018 as the Geneva Branch Manager and has served most recently as the Macedon Branch Manager. She has an associate degree in business from Finger Lakes Community College. Ms. Blazey is a member of the Manchester Board of Grievance in Ontario County. She lives in Palmyra with her husband. In her spare time, Ms. Blazey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling to warm beaches, and visiting breweries and wineries in the Finger Lakes region.
“Reliant cares for their employees and members and treats them like family,” said Ms. Blazey. “I really enjoy helping our members better their financial lives, and getting out there to help better the community as well.”
Marcy Mitchell will be the Branch Manager of the new Farmington branch. In her new role, she will oversee the growth and development of member relationships within the branch community, while managing branch operations, staff development, and interactions with local businesses and community organizations.
Ms. Mitchell joined Reliant in 2009 and has held various positions, most recently as the Canandaigua Branch Manager. She has an associate degree in business administration from Finger Lakes Community College and is currently a member of the Victor-Farmington Rotary Club. She lives in Walworth with her husband, with whom she shares two children. Ms. Mitchell enjoys traveling, especially to Key West, Florida, and Mesa, Arizona, where their daughter lives.
“I enjoy meeting new members at Reliant; it’s like meeting new friends,” said Ms. Mitchell. “I appreciate the challenging work that this position provides—there is not one day that is the same.”
