Reliant was founded as a teachers' credit union, and educational endeavors have always been important to the credit union. For the past several years, we have also put an emphasis on wellness—from both a financial and an overall health perspective. We are committed to giving back to the communities we serve through financial and in-kind contributions, educational programs, and volunteerism.
Our commitments to giving back, to education, and to wellness all come together in Feet Forward. We recognize that the ability to get out and run around is an integral part of a child’s overall well-being, but without a quality pair of sneakers, a child can’t run around as freely or as safely as he should be able to do.
Reliant has partnered with Fleet Feet Sports Rochester , who helped us to purchase an array of high quality children’s sneakers so that we could donate them to elementary-aged children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to such quality footwear.
Reliant connected with area elementary schools to coordinate distribution of the shoes to their students who need them.
Here are some photos from our distributions of sneakers!
