Giving Back to the Communities We Serve
At Reliant, we truly value the communities and regions that our branches call “home.” We strive to be involved in those communities, for they are the places where our staff and our members live, work, and play. We also know that we can’t achieve our mission of satisfying our members’ financial needs without working at the same time to enrich our communities.
The credit union philosophy of “people helping people” is alive and well every day at Reliant. We give back in many varied ways—and so rather than trying to capture every individual act, we wanted to share some numbers from 2018 that illustrate our staff and organization involvement in our communities.
182 – Number of community organizations and events we supported/sponsored in 2018
68 – Number of community organizations in which our staff were involved or for which our staff volunteered their time
$16,750 – Amount of Donald K. Rhine scholarship funds awarded to deserving students in 2018

Reliant’s Moore than a Race
Another way that Reliant gives back to the community is through our Donald K. Rhine Scholarship program. The scholarships are awarded each year to members who exemplify the credit union’s “people helping people” philosophy. In 2009, Reliant started Moore than a Race, a road race fundraiser to help raise additional funds for the scholarship program.
